Bethesda kicks off E3 with ‘Doom,’ Fallout 4′

“This was Bethesda’s first ever E3 press event and underlines the company’s determination to start to expand its output and grow its fan base and ongoing revenue streams”. Here are the main highlights…

Marty Stratton, executive producer at Id Software, introduced a gameplay run-through of the new title. We’re diving into this one, but if you’re just waking up and am curious about this one, here’s our first impressions of this game: and despite being a town-builder from a AAA publisher, it might not be what you’re dreading, it’s actually really neat and does monetization in a different way from other games in the genre. For many who have missed out in the Dishonored Franchise, this would be the ideal time to catch back up. Stratton promises that DOOM will offer Arena-style combat that is a hybrid of DOOM and Quake multiplayer when it is released in the spring of 2016 on PS4, Xbox One and PC. Each character will have their own powers and weapons.

Dishonored 2 also features a female lead character – news which was greeted with cheers in the audience at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre. It will be coming out this autumn.

Games like Call of Duty and the Batman: Arkham series have prepared United States for updates and sequels that are built off the same mechanics as their predecessor, but Fallout 4 is something else altogether. “Fallout 4” will release on 11/10/15 of this year.

If these two did not be just right for you, then you’ll be able to design your model of hell with “Snapmap” throughout any platform on which the recreation will probably be launched. Then again, maybe it’s just Bethesda’s way of making sure the Fallout hype carries on throughout E3 and in the months ahead. Players can play as Corvo, the protagonist from the first game, or a new character named Emily. Plus you don’t need to be connected to the internet to play it.

To add to the footage, Howard revealed that the collector’s edition of the game will include a working Pip-Boy, which can be used in conjunction with your smartphone. It works with your mobile phone, which you insert into it and you can download an app to make it look and act like a real world Pip-Boy.

Instead, players will be presented with a basic character looking at a mirror of himself or herself – clicking on various features will open a small pop-up menu offering customisation options. Grab scrap and reuse it to build properties, grow your settlement, arrange power generators and various defence mechanisms. Weapons and armour will also be fully customisable to a staggering degree. While both aren’t exactly popular in India thanks to bandwidth constraints, they’re available to try out if you’re one of the rare few with a fast enough internet connection. Skip to the 01:07:38 mark to watch it from when Todd Howard comes on stage.

Fallout Shelter is a new, free to play mobile game from Bethesda set in the beloved Fallout universe.
