Given its size and specs, the Lumia 640 XL will be a tad more expensive, coming in around 190 euros for 3G and £220 for LTE.
The Microsoft Lumia 430 Dual SIM is built with Windows Phone 8.1 software and a dual-core CPU running at 1.2GHz.
But the folks over at WindowsCentral have been tipped on the fact that T-Mobile Lumia 640 will also be available for purchase at Walmart beginning June 20. Nevertheless, the Lumia 640 XL will likely be released at AT&T by the close of this month.
Microsoft Lumia 640 has a resolution of 1280×720 pixels. Its rear camera is only capable of 8-megapixel, and has no flash. It also has a microSD slot in the phone, which can help to increase the storage up to 128 GB.
$300 off-contract gets you a 13-megapixel camera.
Meanwhile, the 640 XL has the same specifications as the 640 except that it has a larger 5.7-inch display screen, as per Christian Post.
However, as we reported last week, the Lumia 640 will only be available at T-Mobile as “ship to (direct fulfillment)”, which means it won’t actually hit shelves at the Magenta carrier. For now, Microsoft has not confirmed their existence. The Microsoft Lumia 940 and 940 XL are highly anticipated as being handsets that could really fit the bill for those wanting a superior Lumia. Whether the leaked Lumia 1020 successor image from Evan Blass is real or not will be revealed when the Redmond giant actually spills the beans about what it’s planning for the year, aside from the HoloLens of course, which by the way, will revolutionize gaming, augmented reality and possibly even the television industry. Take this with a grain of salt, but if Microsoft did figure out how to minimize the bump, they’ve got a victor.
Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) announced the two Windows smartphones during the Mobile World Congress back in March this year.
Naturally, specs information is entirely based on hearsay.
Lumia940 is rumored to have a smaller display of 5.2 inch and a 2.7 GHz Snapdragon 805 processor, Adreno 420 graphics and 3 GB RAM. The Lumia 640 and 640 XL are solid, mid-range devices that follow in the footsteps of the many other Lumia Windows phones that came before them.
The Lumia 940 series are destined to compete with a variety of top devices including the Samsung Galaxy S6, Motorola Moto X, Apple iPhone 6, and HTC One M9. Regarding processing power, the Lumia 940 XL may contain a Snapdragon 808 chipset.
